I had compartment syndrome 6 years ago, from hitting a tree snowboarding. It's a rough deal - I had 3 weeks in hospital, lost 30 lbs, got 50 stitches in my lower left leg, metal plate and pins, 4 months on morphine. Just last week at the trailhead some guy asked if I had been bitten by a shark, it still looks rough 6 years later. Get well soon.
